Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) Grant Requested

Spirit-Works to Build A Better World in Church, Schools and Communities has applied to Humana Inc. for a grant to establish Capital Improvement Projects (CIP). CIP will both renovate and build to improve the educational landscape required in promoting higher levels of educational achievement. CIP will include post-secondary/graduate education institutions renovation or construction, Church educational building construction and mental health agency renovation that serve their local and metro communities, etc.

The purpose of Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) is to support revitalization and/or create constructed facilities that are used to provide various types of education and to support environments conducive to learning and higher achievement. CIP can vary and may include but are not limited to educational institutions, Church building construction for education, mental health agency renovation, etc. CIP will include all capital items allowable by the Humana Inc. Grant. CIP is solely possible with award of the Humana Inc. Grant. If the CIP Grant is awarded, it will be divided equally by the number of selected capital projects. Humana Inc. will make an announcement about the finalists in September, 2009. Humana Inc.'s Grant Award Celebration is scheduled for October, 2009.
